Each project is different, and we will provide you with our expert opinion on the best way to install your new flooring. Flooring Options
Vinyl Flooring
Vinyl flooring is extremely durable and cost-effective. It’s made from plastic, usually consisting of acrylic, PVC, and similar polymers. It’s an economical option for homeowners looking for luxurious style and durability, without the high price point. Vinyl flooring is available in planks, sheets, or tiles. Since it is waterproof, scratch- and stain-resistant, and commercial grade in durability, vinyl flooring is both functional and stylish.
- Vinyl flooring is ideal for hallways and kitchens because vinyl tiles can stand up to heavy traffic! They come in a wide range of colors, so you are sure to find something that suits your style.
- Vinyl flooring is available in rolls or a variety of shapes, sizes, and install methods. These include adhesive methods where the vinyl lays on top of an existing surface to stick it down; peel-and-stick sheets that are applied directly onto your subfloor without any adhesives being necessary (similar to Velcro); as well as click locks which you put together like Legos after laying them out over some sort of padding/substrate beneath. Vinyl can also be installed right over most floors!
- Vinyl finishes offer the best of both worlds: high-quality shine and a smooth feel without any hassle.
- Luxury vinyl plank (or LVP) is made to look like hardwood. Vinyl tile flooring is made to look like high-end stones such as marble.
Laminate Flooring
Laminate flooring delivers the look of real wood, tile, or stone flooring at an affordable price. However, laminate usually requires less maintenance than these traditional types of flooring. Scratch-resistant, water-resistant, and noise resistant are available in a variety of customized styles. For these reasons, laminate flooring has become a popular choice in many homes.
- Laminate flooring can come in planks, tiles, or squares. This type of flooring features an interlocking tongue-and-groove assembly that makes it durable and easy to clean.
- Grain styles of laminate wood flooring mimic the look of pine, maple, cherry, oak, and other hardwoods. Other types imitate stone marble limestone slate travertine to give your home a luxurious feel
- Laminate flooring can withstand wet bathroom floors, kitchen spills, and wear & tear from pets.
Sheet Vinyl
This type of flooring comes in 12 ft wide sections cut to the length you require. For example, an 8×10 room would require a 12×11 piece of sheet vinyl. Typically, we add 1ft to allow for cuts.
If a room is large enough it might require more than one roll of sheet vinyl. In this case, a seam would be set somewhere in the room where there is little to no traffic and installed in a way to make it harder to notice.
